Compete with dozens of tennis players, men and women, at your skill level nearby in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Plainfield, Warrenville, Downers Grove, Lisle, Lombard, Bolingbrook, Woodridge and Wheaton.  The Chicago suburbs have a competitive tennis league.  It’s not a Chicago tennis league, it’s for the suburbs of Chicago, a Chicago suburbs tennis league.  Gladiator Tennis provides outdoor summer tennis competition and makes Arlington Heights tennis, Aurora tennis, Batavia tennis, Bolingbrook tennis, Downers Grove tennis, Geneva tennis,  Naperville tennis, tennis lessons, Oak Brook tennis, Hinsdale tennis, Willowbrook tennis, Palatine tennis, Schaumburg tennis, St. Charles tennis, Wheaton tennis, and Woodridge tennis possible.   Tennis club membership is not required to play tennis in this tennis league.  Gladiator Tennis has a men’s tennis league and a women’s tennis league.  Tennis league competition in the western suburbs, giving us more than just Chicago tennis.  Gladiator Tennis!

2.5 Level

 
 
Players can receive private or group lessons to improve their skills. Lessons for Gladiator Tennis Novice Level members are at a rate significantly lower than what is charged at local tennis clubs in the area. Gladiator Tennis “Pros” all have teaching/coaching experience, and play at the 5.0 or 5.5 level in the league.
 
 
 
 
     

2.5 This player is learning to judge where the ball is going although court coverage is weak. Can sustain a short rally of slow pace with other players of the same ability.

Designed for players who want to improve their skills and don't feel ready yet for serious competition.
 
   
     

3.0: This player is fairly consistent when hitting medium paced shots, but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control, depth, or power.

3.5: This player has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but still lacks depth and variety. Player exhibits more aggressive net play, and has improved court coverage.

4.0: This player has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success. This player occasionally forces errors when serving. Rallies may be lost due to impatience.

4.5: This player has begun to master the use of power and spins and is beginning to handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots, and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents. Player can hit first serves with power and accuracy and place the second serve. Player tends to over hit on difficult shots.
